MEMPHIS BELLE ..... THE TRUE STORY

Documentation recently found but thought
destroyed by embarassed Air Force Generals,
now shows that these so called heroes of
World War II should've been court martialed
instead of decorated.  They were a bunch of
selfish, cowardly, sons-a-bitches who
repeatedly broke ranks and abandoned the
other Flight Crews.  They constantly devised
new ways of leaving others to die at the
mercy of Nazi fighters.  You are about
to fly one of their "Dirty Trick" Missions.

As you begin, you will join up with the
Flight Crew on your right by steering to a
heading of 086.  Pull up beside your new
mates and then set your new heading to 076.
Flight Groups were supposed to keep a
distance of one thousand yards between
them.  But not the Belle Bastards as they
were better known among their mates.  They
pulled up so close that they could see the
landing gear on the next crew's flight
leader.  That's what you are to do.  Then
nudge your group back a hundred feet or so
and get ready for the first fighter wave
that will be attacking.  Since the others
are out front, they will be attacked first.
Subsequent waves will come from the rear.
Nudge forward for these attacks.  Lastly,
tell the entire Bombing Raid that you are
clouded in and will fly past the target and
come back.  Instead, drop your bombs on the
first pass, then turn and run for home with
engines powered up to whatever they can
take.  And God Bless your cowardly ass.
