MEMPHIS BELLE ..... THE TRUE STORY

The BELLE BASTARDS had become masters at
low level bombing and just before reaching
the target they would suddenly drop out of
the sky by faking that they had been shot
down.  Going into a deep dive they would
use smoke cannisters, fireworks, even toss
hand grenades out the rear for special
effects.  Anything to make it look like
their plane was blowing up.  Then
miraculously they would appear back at
home base some hours later claiming half
a dozen victories and 20 to 30 buildings
demolished.  In actuality, they levelled
out and landed their plane in a field well
hidden by trees.  Here they would sit and
watch while their buddies got the shit
kicked outta them upstairs.  After the
battle was over and the enemy fighters
had landed, they would attack their
airfield before they had a chance to
refuel.  Having demolished the airfield
they then went after the flak batteries.
Everything else after that was like
shooting fish in a barrel.  This is the
main reason their kills were so high
and they were heralded as heroes.

They may have blown up alot of buildings
but by vacating their position in the main
Bomber Attack, they left a gapping hole
for Nazi Fighters to penetrate the Group.
This was just another of the cowardly,
bastards, sons-a-bitches methods of
looking good on the score card while
sending hundreds of fellow officers to
their deaths.  See how well you can
duplicate these cowards' actions.
