Other JNUG\JNSE courses are available. Currently all have been designed using JNUG, although future course designs will probably be done with the new Signature edition. Below is a list of completed courses as of July,1992. (Note: Three courses have been designed with JNSE and are listed below. Most courses are my original design. A good golf course architect and designer must be able to plot an original layout, route the course, design the course, develop the landscape, build the greens, test it, make alterations, and then offer the final product. That's the added enjoyment one receives from JNUG\JNSE for me, that's why JNUG\JNSE excels. In some cases, I have redesigned previously designed other courses from alternative sources, such as courses obtained through shareware catalogs. During my early acquisitions, using this option, I did obtain some really great courses such as Melrose by Jaybird or Durango by Lee Ritze , or some others such as Stanley or Valley. Most of the others, quite frankly weren't very competitive or just needed upgrading. So I did what any good designer would do, I improved the course(s). I re-routed some holes, improved the land plot, imported new objects and trees, changed the landscape, improve the fairways, built and rebuilt greens, and then developed what I felt was a more competitive golf course. Then I did what other designers wish they could do - I renamed the course and moved it to another locale. On those courses I don't take credit for the original design, but I do for the redesign. If I know the original designer I say so. If not, I just state its a redesign. Since I've purchased a modem, I've been downloading courses from the various BBS such as Double Eagle or 19th Hole. You can be much more selective; thus there is no need to redesign someone else's work... just route your own new course.I highly recommend using the BBS as your source and not the shareware alternative.h)0*0*0*Ԍ My design philosophy is to be fair to the golfer. I don't believe in greens that roll to the water or trap. I believe in narrow fairways guarded traps, trees or other objects. Golf shots that land in fairways should not be penalized. If your gamble lands in the rough or trees, then so be it. There are many ways out of trouble. Many of my courses are long to compensate for the extra distance you can attain using your JNUG golfer... but I don't want the JNUG golfer to break 60 either! I also enjoy adding comments about the location of the golf course. To me, this adds to your enjoyment. Under JNSE, I've tried to maintain the same philosophy, but I've toned down my rolling hills, shorten some of the distances on the courses, and opened up the fairways. If you enjoyed this one, other course designs are available. Please send either 1)diskette(s) and return postage or (2) $ 7 per diskette to cover the diskette(s), postage and handling. If you enclose some of your designs the $ 7 fee is waived but please include your diskettes and postage . The $7. is solely to cover the cost of the diskettes and postage. Quite candidly, I rather you sent your own diskettes and return postage. All course files are zipped! Most of my zipped courses range from 105,679 to 192,713 zipped or an average of 149,980. The 3.5 diskette holds about 8 to 9 courses. The HD 5.25 holds between 7 and 8. The DD 5.25 no more than 2 courses. JNSE are larger normally exceeding 220+, so take that into consideration!
