Welcome to Beecham Country Club's Yellow course. Beecham C.C.'s Yellow course is the third course of the Beecham complex. This course is a desert course (My first attempt at a desert course). The course plays 7553 yds. from the blue tees, 6666 yds. from the white tees, and 5982 yds. from the red tees. This course was designed for tournament play. This being a desert course, It has an over abundance of sand, small brush, rocks and of course cactus. The objects are a compilation of these from other courses I have downloaded from C-Serve and Accolade's BBS, and some that I created. A desert course is cut out of some harsh land, I have created what I think is a somewhat realistic view of a desert, by including alot of hills and sand that the course is built on and around. The following is a breakdown of the course yardage. Hole Par Blue White Red Tees Tees Tees ------------------------------------------ 1 4 485 424 381 2 4 376 317 272 3 3 178 146 114 4 5 629 562 525 5 4 352 306 269 6 4 424 365 338 7 3 184 168 133 8 4 410 370 328 9 5 621 541 506 Out 36 3659 3199 2866 10 4 485 440 418 11 5 584 528 474 12 4 448 397 354 13 3 232 192 160 14 4 458 405 368 15 4 416 373 314 16 5 584 525 482 17 4 466 429 386 18 3 221 178 160 In 36 3894 3467 3116 Totals 72 7553 6666 5982 As you will notice I have made some of the par 4's and par 5's longer than the "regulation" length usually attributed to these holes, the reason I have done this, is because this course is a championship course and therefore designed for tournament play. What the extra length does, is keep guy's like me (Who hit completly for length [ therefore rely on luck and not skill ] from ripping apart the shorter courses by making the par 5's into par 4's and the par 4's into par 3's because they may only have an iron shot into the par 5's or a PW shot into the par 4's. The extra length makes it real tough to get a below par score, but when you do you feel better about it than being able to shoot in the under par area all the time. Good Luck, Mike Vos.
