The Players Computer Golf Association was founded for tournament play of Jack Nicklaus Unlimited Golf. Our goal was to present a challenge for the player while maximizing the use of the course designer to accomplish an experience in playing golf. We do not believe par should be a given thing and should be earned. We choose courses which are beautiful to look at and make you feel transported to another part of the country. We have some of the top designers featured. Many of these are touched up by shrinking the fairway size or making putting more difficult or reshaping or adding or moving objects to increase the difficulty of these yet maintain the designers style or intent. This in no means infers that they were not quality work to begin with. On the contrary they are great in their original format or would not have been choosen. These are the designers I have the highest respect for. All tournaments are played in the /tourn mode with the .res files required to be posted to Double Eagle BB (407-259-9771). We feature three flights, Championship, A and B, so any skill level can play. Players are moved between flights as their skill levels become apparent. This will insure you are playing against players of equal skill. Time limits are imposed so normally a live tournament is in progress. We believe players should play under pressure and not just shoot a dozen rounds and turn in their best scores. Our tournaments are played in match play format where you are scored based on how you do within in your flight. Points are awarded based upon where you finish within your flight on the front and back nines as well as the eighteen. The worse score for each receives 0 points with every better score receiving one additional point. In case of ties points are averaged. Tournament is normally played over three courses with the total points added up to determine the winner. Disks containing the courses will be provided to all interested along with tournament results and schedules. There is no charge for these however a donation of $10-$20 per year would be appreciated to help cover the costs of disks and mailing. If you would like to play or be on our mailing list please respond to one of the addresses below. It would also be helpful if you could include a phone number and what type of disks you use.
