1¾«ïThe Halloween Course by Mike Cook October 17, 1992 The Halloween Course is an original, fictional course designed for Halloween fun in 1992 by Mike Cook. It is nearly all original, but thanks must go to the person who designed the background for Moonscape Alpha, which I modified to suit the course. Some of the objects are from the JNSE course designer unmodified, and all of the others were designed specifically for this course by myself. This is a medium length golf course with many opportunities for risk/reward. These risks offer many eagle opportunities (I had 5 in one practice round), but these same opportunities offer many dire consequences if shots are not pulled off exactly as planned, which can lead to inflated scores. At any time on this course, I could easily score a 60 or a 75, depending on whether my gambles paid off. The smart, skillful planner and shotmaker will identify which risks offer the highest rewards, and avoid others which could lead to the doom of an entire round. The smart play is generally to play safe golf, except when the consequences for a poorly played shot are not too severe. This strategy generally leads to mid-60's scoring, while wild play could go either way. I hope that you enjoy this course, and I am always open to suggestions and constructive criticism. I am also willing to trade courses; for anyone who sends me a disk with an origianl course or two, I will fill it with courses of your choice (include alternate choices), I have over 80 in my collection, and return it promptly.
