 The Lakes is my first course for public consumption, it was originally 
 drawn for JNUG on an EGA screen with no mouse, so you can imagine the
 work it took to bring it up to SE standards. I had no plan when I started
 making the course back in January 91. I was stationed in Korea with the 
 U.S. Air Force and picked up a copy of JNUG and just started screwing
 around. After about a month I had completed the course, I had no way of
 judging the final output except to compare with the 2 courses that came
 with JNUG. I played the course a couple times and filed it away. The course
 was rediscovered in June 92 while I was doing some disk housekeeping.
 I took a look at it with SE and it was pretty rough, but I did like the 
 basic layout of the course. So after a few weeks of smoothing out the course
 adding champ. tees and a couple of redesigned holes (the original had 7
 dogleg left par 4's!), here it is.

 The object file and the background are borrowed from several sources. I 
 did'nt fine tune the course with fancy objects or with views of side-by-side
 holes ect. But I think the course looks good and plays pretty tough. It 
 does'nt call for alot of power but for good positioning off the tee and good
 iron play. I hope people will enjoy it. If you have any comments please
