Montarosa Golf and Country Club JNSE Design by Gordon J. Chisholm Location: Anywhere in the U.S. that still has a fair amount of woodlands supporting various types of trees. Origin: A fictional course who's layout started out to be a JNUG course; with the transition being made to JNSE before any individual hole layout work was started. Objects: From a variety of different courses. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the various other "user- designers" whose objects were used on this course. Scott Chesney - red ball washer, medium size tree w/white trunk, tall tree in various shades of brown, medium size tree w/light brown trunk, small rock grouping. All of these came from Scott's fine rendition of Pebble Beach. Alan Pajari - small pine, tall pine, various flowers and small bushes, flowers and rock grouping. These objects came from Alan's Winged Foot and Rocklake courses. Ted Maiden - Tree grouping w/gray trunks, small tree w/gray trunk, medium to large tree w/gray trunk, ball washer w/bench. All these objects came from Ted's Mocassin Creek course. Keith Holzapfel - Background from Aberdeen. I have no idea whether or not these objects were done by the individual course designers. These are the courses I "borrowed" them from, and for that reason I gave credit to the course designers. If the objects were done by someone else, and only used by the designers, this is not meant as a slight to the original designers. Objects in JNUG, and now JNSE, seem to have a habit of moving around fairly easily, and it's very hard to keep track of who did what object. THE COURSE: Water is either in play or close at hand on all but three holes of this course. All shots must be planned and executed properly, since the rough tends to be "skimpy" on most holes. Par is 71, and the course length is 6814 yards as taken from Course Routing. Yardage, of course, will vary depending on pin placement and tees used for your round. 6814 yards is taken from championship tees with #1 pin placement. I planned it to be moderately difficult, and hope I have succeeded in that aim. Any comments concerning this course will be welcome.
