SIGNATURE ISLE A FANTASY COURSE BY PEEWIT 1. THE DESIGN I have always been fascinated by courses in real life as well as JNUG/JNSE which include the ocean and dramatic scenery. This course was inspired by this. Consider it a course of variations on the 18th at Pebble Beach with a few inland holes thrown in for variety. Because this is fantasyland I spent a lot of time designing an island plot with no roads, no homes, no people. The only way of reaching Signature Isle is by a small boat which takes you right up to the first tee from Peewitville on the mainland. You can see the wharf from the overhead on the first hole. The course will, hopefully, challenge you with its holes, which need some forethought, and some of its views which need study. I amke no excuses for plagiarism of the objects. I like designing courses not objects. I have included some new like the tee boxes. I have also gone with the basic JNSE pallette, because I am not a good pallette editor. Most of the design time was taken on painstaking elevation changes. I believe that although the course goes anti-clockwise leaving the ocean always on the right, there is sufficient variety built in for all level of golfer. I will let you decide which holes you like best. For the record my favorite are 15, 17 and 18. i think the last few holes challenge you sufficiently to make an exciting competition finish. 2 BORING FACTS The course has no OB 9except off the screen), so if you go astray you will be penalized by tough terrain not penalty strokes. Most holes have small bushes either side of the fairway marking 150 yds to the center of the green. The course is 6699 yds long. The last boat back to Peewitville leaves at 6pm.
