So, there should be some low scores out there. But don't relax and think Westchester is an easy outing. You must play smart and deal with the ever present wind. To really get the feel of this course's potential, play a round with fast greens, and the wind up around the 17-20 MPH area. The yardage here is approximately 100 yards longer than the course the pros play. The nines are also reversed for the Buick Open. The members play #12 as a par five. Westchester is one of the oldest courses on the PGA Tour. It was designed in 1922 by Walter J. Travis. The video tape helped out like you wouldn't believe in getting the elevations and the "LOOK" as close as possible, but the CBS coverage did not include the first eight holes, other than some aerial shots from the blimp. So, I have exercised a little designer's license on the first eight holes. I also have added a few trees to enhance the overall visual effect as reproduced by the JNUG software. I encourage constructive comments and welcome any and all questions regarding any of my design efforts. Enjoy Westchester Country Club. Ted Maiden AKA "MAKER" Prodigy "NPNW54A"
