________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Course Mame: Willow Oaks Country Club Location: Richmond, Va JNSE Design by Thad Milam I would first like to say that this is my first JNSE release. My objective was to recreate this course as closely as possible, while making it moderately challenging and asthetically pleasing to play. At this time, let me thank the following for the use of their objects; Lee Ritze - pine trees, bench & ballwasher - Augusta L.R. Design Group - willow tree the azealea bush also came from Augusta L.R. and was modified. I am sure there are other objects borrowed, but memory will not allow me to recall them. This course opened in the mid 50's and was designed by a gentleman with the last name of Byrd. My apologies for the lack of information, but even the long-time members could not supply me with information. I would like to especially thank my boss, Joe Hudgins, for his guidance in this effort, as the only reference material I had was a scorecard, and my memory of my visit to the course in July, 1992, during the final round of the Virginia State Golf Association's state tournament, which was won by Tom McKnight, who went on to make it to the semifinals of the U.S. Amateur Tournament. Joe's 200-plus rounds at this course made him my authority for my info. Finally, thank you for downloading this course and giving it a look. Any and all constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated and will be put toward future efforts. Graciously, Thad S. Milam 8249 Fern Church Ct. Richmond, Va 23294 Prodigy - TRXV40B 26 DEC 1992
