NIGHT OVER STALINGRAD

During the vicious fighting for
Stalingrad, the Soviet 8th Air Army flew
nearly 4,000 sorties between 27 September
and 8 November 1942.  General Novikov
instructed that 5 crews from each Ground-
attack and fighter air regiment train for
night missions.  IL-2 Shturmoviks flew
406 night sorites during this period,
attacking German positions at low level
at night.

MISSION

Take your section of Shturmoviks and
attack the Fascist positions near the
tractor works (the designated target
area).  You must destroy at least 4
buildings for this mission to be a
success.

NOTES

This is a night mission.
