1992 Developer's Competition "Fire All Your Guns at Once!" The upcoming 1992 Developer's Competition is sure to be one of the highlights of the year. It was one of the most exciting and fun events of 1991. It is your chance to demonstrate your abilities to develop software applications quickly and professionally. <> believes that the <> is the best database application development tool and feel that this is an excellent avenue to demonstrate it. Why not help prove it at the 1992 Developer's Competition and possibly win one of the cash prizes. At any rate, you will walk away with a great time, and enough evaluation software to make your participation worthwhile. The competition will take place October 9th and 10th, 1992 in Durham, North Carolina and will pit 100 software developers against one another as they attempt to build a database application in 6 hours. Each competitor will consist of a team of one or two persons using a variety of database application software, languages, and third party products. Only one CPU, keyboard, and printer is allowed. This is a no holds barred competition. Developers can use any tools, language, or program generators. Only completed applications used as templates are prohibited. First, second, and third place contestants will receive cash prizes ($5000, $3000, $2000) respectively. Each competitor will receive at least $300 in software of their choice. - The entry fee is only $200 per team member. This includes meals, a chance to win the prize money, product and the "Proceedings". More than this though, it is an exhilarating experience. - Your company will receive national recognition if it places within the top ten competitors. - All competitors will receive at least $300 worth of software development products of their choice. There is no deadline, but only the first 100 teams will be accepted. We must receive a completed registration with a deposit of $100 per member to be accepted.
