	HOW TO ASSIGN RECORDS TO A SALESREP IN THE START FIELD (583)
         ------------------------------------------------------------

     If you currently have records in a database that you need to assign to¨
a particular sales rep, you can use the following Group Replace.  

Please note:  It is always a good idea to have a good current backup of¨
your data before performing a Group Replace.  You may want to setup a¨
filter for one record only before changing a group of records in your¨
database.  		     

     First, you will need to setup a filter to select the records you wish¨
to assign to a particular salesrep and put that filter in use.  From the¨
TeleMagic Main Menu, select.

    1.  "O" for Other Options
    2.  "D" for Database Utilities
    3.  "R" for Replace in Filtered Records

    4.  At the "Change this database field:" prompt, touch F-2 to bring up
        the Telemagic listbox and select the "Start" field by highlighting
        and touching "enter."  (Press "enter" a second time)

    5.  At the "To look like this:" prompt, enter the following string:

          &DTC(DATE())+" "+SUBS(TIME(),1,5)+" XXX"˙ (press enter)

    (replace the XXX with the salesrep's initials that you wish to 
    use) 

    6.  Press "Y" at the "Are you sure" prompt. (enter)

    7.  Output to "screen."

     The date, time, and salesrep's initials will now be displayed in the¨
start field when you go back to view your records.
