May 1, 1992 -- Comics! For Windows, a database system specifically designed
for comic book collectors, is now available. It takes advantage of the
Windows environment and relational database technology, making for ease of
data entry, but still providing sophisticated features and reports.
Following this introduction are two data sheets concerning the features of
the system.

Comics! is available from NewLine Enterprises, 1373 Cave Springs Estates
Dr, St. Peters, MO 63376. Credit card orders or inquiries can be made at
314-928-4380 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Saturday,
or FAXed to the same number outside of those hours. The price is $34.95
until June 1, 1992 and $39.95 after that date, which includes first class
USPS shipping. There is a 14-day no questions asked return policy.

A restricted version was uploaded to the America Online software libraries,
that is fully functional but limited to 25 comic books on the database.
The retail version also includes a graphing module and over 1800
pre-loaded titles, as well as online help and complete documentation,
which are not included in the demonstration version.

Comics! is the new comic book collection management system. Designed for
ease of use while providing in-depth reporting flexibility, Comics! takes
advantage of the Windows environment to provide familiar windowing and
keystrokes in the data entry process. Extensive use of pre-loaded lists
provide for point and click entries in many fields. Comic information can
be entered quickly and easily!

Graphing options let you see at a glance the relative value, cost, or
number of comics in your collection from different publishers, sources, or
in different grades. Print graphs with a click of the mouse.

Less repetitive data entry. Once a title, artist, publisher, etc., is
entered, it takes only a few keystrokes or a click of the mouse to use
that entry again!

Add as many creators (artists, authors, etc.) and characters as you like
for any comic! Add new artists and characters at any time. Flexible
creator types mean you decide what information you want to keep and how!

Use any grading scheme, or none at all. Flexible grading allows for precise
valuation of the comic collection.

Use nearly any font and size to print reports. You can control the size of
headings, totals, and the report body. Works with Windows True Type fonts
for versatility in report printing.

* Reports can be called from the main window, or printed separately to save

* Twenty different reports currently available.

* You choose the fonts and styles for the reports you print. Any font and
size which is available to Windows can be used.

* Over 1800 titles, 200 publishers names, and 50 creators names pre-loaded,
so you can use them with a click of the mouse (or three or four
keystrokes).

* Enter a title, publisher, etc., once, and it is always available with a
mouse click or a few keystrokes.

* Do you want to keep track of every character who appears in a comic? You
can do it with Comics!, which has no limit on the number of characters for
each comic.
