ProBas 5.0 Now Shipping With over 300 New Routines

June 3, 1992 -- With ProBas 5.0, programmers gain a complete set of
easy-to-use tools to make their programs faster and better, and easier to
create and maintain.

TeraTech, which is becoming the most comprehensive and practical source for
programming tools for occasional, everyday and professional programmers,
announced today the shipping of ProBas 5.0, the easiest to use and most
comprehensive collection of tools for BASIC programmers.

Mike Maw, Director of Marketing, noted: "The ProBas product line has been
in the market for five years and is very solid and tested. There are many
reviews of the earlier releases, all of which received outstanding
ratings. This upgrade is the most important release yet, featuring a total
of 936 routines. These routines will help all programmers, from novice to
professional, to use everything their computer has, including mouses,
expanded and extended memory, speakers, colors, everything, and yet these
routines make programming easier and more fun."

The company noted that the 936 routines in ProBas 5.0 make the library 66%
larger than ProBas 4.0, and the largest BASIC library available anywhere.
The new routines include significant new GUI, XMS/EMS, LZW file
compression and huge array processing routines, among many others.
Further, the company reported that its extensive beta testing and quality
control had improved a large number of the earlier routines, making them
better and faster.

TeraTech, Inc., a member of the International Development & Enterprise
Alliance ("IDEA"), acquired the ProBas library from Hammerly Computer
Services, Inc., including full development and marketing rights. Since the
acquisition earlier this year, the ProBas development team and technical
support staffs have joined TeraTech to complete the ProBas 5.0 project,
and to develop additional programmer tools.

Elizabeth Whittaker, a member of the TeraTech production team, gave
extensive credit to Wayne Hammerly, the original producer of the ProBas
products, and to Tom Hanlin, the original author of the ProBas program.

programmers, not just BASIC programmers, and to programmers throughout the
world."

Ms. Whittaker also noted that the ProBas 5.0 tools are so effective that

TeraTech disclosed today that programming is well along for tools for
Visual Basic, C and Pascal, which are expected to be shipped late in the
first quarter of 1992.
