(TUCSON, Ariz.--June 30, 1992)--Artisoft announced today the release of its LANual Information Service, a collection of ArtisoftTM Manuals, SpecDisk Information Diskettes, LANtastic Compatibility Guides and Technical Bulletins compiled into diskette format. These Infobase files allow dealers and users to search for indexed words and phrases to instantly retrieve information about their LANtastic network. The LANual Information Service is updated quarterly and can be purchased either by a one-year subscription (four quarters) for $249 or one quarter for $75. It is available on 5.25" and 3.5" diskettes and is licensed for use on an unlimited number of servers/nodes in a single network installation. "LANual allows users to access updated information in a convenient and timely manner," said Dave Hallmen, Artisoft's Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "It is ideal for anyone who deals with the LANtastic network on a regular basis--from the technician who must look up answers to technical questions, to the sales representative who needs product information, to the MIS manager who must keep the network running and fine-tune the system for its best performance." All data in the LANual Information Service is categorized for access through a detailed menu system. Using the Query Window, users can search for and print out specific technical or user information on a desired product by selecting the appropriate Artisoft manual from the menu. By utilizing the Problem Report selection, users can quickly receive on-screen solutions to technical problems. The LANtastic Compatibility Guide defines third-party hardware/software products that are Artisoft Certified Compatible. LANual Information Service's SpecDisk section includes information about Artisoft's history, special dealer programs, product information and pricing. Artisoft develops and manufactures a full line of hardware and software for local area networks including the LANtastic Local Area Network.
