The GT-100 is designed for remote data collection, distribution and processing where user mobility, near real-time information access and resistance to severe environments is required. This ranges from outdoor, mobile and factory situations to battlefield, shipboard and airborne applications. The handheld (6.3-inch by 4.4-inch by 2.0-inch) lightweight (28 oz. with battery) device features DOS compatibility, a 10-line by 26-character Supertwist LCD display, alphanumeric 48-key keypad, and multiple input/output interface capability. The keypad is replaceable and can be customized for user-designed application functions. Unit power is provided by either standard 9 volt alkaline or lithium battery, three 2/3A lithium batteries, and/or a rechargeable NICAD battery pack. The GT-100 handheld computer is prices at $1795.00 with volume pricing available upon request. The GT-100 comes with standard 512Kbytes of PSRAM, a ROM version of DOS, 64Kbytes of EEPROM and a 512Kbyte Flash EPROM disk. A wide range of user software storage options include database storage, application program storage and set-up file storage. Additional memory storage is available with memory expansion options up to 4 megabytes. Customer application software can be developed using any DOS compatible microcomputer and downloaded directly into the GT-100. Data files may be exchanged between I/O compatible devices. This capability allows users to extend PC applications into a rugged field environment. Designed to operate in the most rugged environments, the GT-100 handheld computer meets both MIL-SPEC and MIL-STD requirements for tactical manpack equipment with a mean time between failure of 20,000 (calculated) hours. The unit also meets the environmental MIL-STD-810D requirements for humidity, rain, immersion, vibration, salt fog fungus, temperature (-20 degrees C to +70 degrees C), sand and dust, solar radiation, explosive atmosphere, bounce loose cargo, 4 foot shock drop open and dosed, chemical resistance, as well as EMI/RFI MIL-STD-461C, and TEMPEST 5100A standard.
