BEAVERTON, Ore., July 27, 1992 -- Timberline Software Corp. has released Lockbox, a software product that updates tenant ledgers with rent payments received into a property's account at the bank or clearing house. After deposit to the lockbox, tenant payments are received through electronic transfer or on diskette. Because Lockbox imports rent receipt information directly to Timberline's Property Management Gold tenant ledgers, computer operators no longer have to spend several days each month posting rent receipts. As with any lockbox service, rent receipts begin earning interest sooner than is possible when using traditional methods of collecting rent. Lockbox is an add-on to Timberline's Property Management Gold software, an accounting and business management product for managers of commercial, residential, retail and mixed-use properties. The software runs on IBM or IBM-compatible computers, OS/2 manufacturers' supported version. Suggested retail price is based on the number of residential units or commercial tenants. Pricing begins at $990 for up to 1,000 units or tenants.
