(Fort Lee, NJ, July 9) -- The Tenth Annual PC EXPO in New York, the
computer industry's premier show for corporate volume buyers and
resellers, celebrated a decade of excellence by setting records for number
of exhibitors and attendees.

PC EXPO in New York, which was held June 23-25 at the Jacob K. Javits
Convention Center, boasted 735 exhibitors of computer hardware, software
and services and 81,464 attendees.

PC EXPO in New York affirmed its reputation as the premier forum for new
technology. The PC EXPO product spotlight focused on smaller portables,
pen-based PCs, multimedia, desktop publishing, graphical systems providing
ease-of-use, and sharp price cuts in a competitive PC marketplace.

Companies making product announcements at PC EXPO included: Acer, Adobe,
Aldus, Apple, Borland, Compaq, Core International, Digital Equipment
Corporation, Everex, Epson, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Logitech, Lotus,
Micrografx, Microsoft, NCR, Sharp, Sony, SunSoft, Symantec, Toshiba,
WordPerfect, Zenith Data Systems, and hundreds of other companies.

For the first time, PC EXPO attendees accessed an official show network,
ShowNet, designed, installed and maintained by Lante Corporation, a
Chicago-based systems integration firm.

In a unique Presidential election poll, more than 1,500 PC EXPO attendees
cast their votes electronically on ShowNet, with 42 percent selecting Ross
Perot, 28 percent favoring Bill Clinton, 17 percent favoring President
George Bush, and 19 percent selecting "other." Attendees also obtained
on-line information on PC EXPO exhibitors, products and special events,
plus sent E-mail messages to other attendees and around the world .

PC EXPO opened Tuesday with a keynote address by Gilbert P. Williamson,
chairman and CEO of NCR Corporation, describing his vision of, "The
Revolution in Information Technology; Its Implications for Business in the
90s"

The first PC EXPO plenary addresses were delivered by Leland Reiswig of IBM
Corporation presenting, "OS/2 Strategy Briefing -- OS/2 Live," on June 24,
followed by Fernand Sarrat of IBM exploring "OS/2 -- The Next Dimension."
Microsoft Corporation also presented daily Windows Technical Workshops.

This year, PC EXPO featured the largest conference program ever, with 70
seminar sessions, including an expanded Windows conference track with nine
sessions. Six PC EXPO Tutorials -- intensive, all-day sessions, were held
on Monday, June 22.

In 1993, PC EXPO in New York will take place June 29, 30 - July 1, again
returning to the Javits Center.
