Beaverton, Oregon -- July 10, 1992 -- WestLake Software today announced
that it will ship the WestLake Imager for Paradox in August 1992. The
WestLake Imager allows the incorporation of PIC, TIFF, PCX and CGM
graphics into any Paradox database. Paradox is the best selling PC
database produced by Borland International.

"Paradox users wanting to include pictures and charts in their database
will find the WestLake add-in product a very easy-to-use solution. I was
up and running in only a few minutes," remarks Elmar Wefers, Chairman of
the Portland Paradox User's Group.

No programming is needed. Users simply add a field containing the file name
of an associated graphic to each record in their database. The WestLake
Imager then enables Paradox to display the record with the associated
graphic. Pictures can be scaled to any size and positioned anywhere on the
screen. Paging up and down will automatically display new records with
associated pictures. Text and graphics are displayed together on the
screen. Up to 256 colors are supported as is multiple graphics per screen
and on-demand zoom. Both dot matrix printers and laser printers are
supported for printing.

"Personnel, products, real estate, inventory, and law enforcement databases
all have the need to include pictures," asserts WestLake's Tom Gifford. "A
picture REALLY is worth a thousand words in these applications."

The WestLake Imager is priced at $329. Network version and developers
version (with no royalty) are priced at $499. Paradox version 3.5 or 4.0
is required. Supported monitors are SVGA, VGA, EGA and Hercules. For more
