San Diego, CA. August 4, 1992 -- AGE Logic, Inc. announced that it is the
industry's first X Window server company to begin shipping PC-based X
servers incorporating Novell's TCP/IP networking software. AGE's XoftWare
family of X server software enables users to quickly access applications
residing on UNIX and DEC/VMS host systems from their PC. By integrating
the Novell TCP/IP drivers into the XoftWare X server, AGE greatly
simplifies the process of installing an X server on the network. An
integrated XoftWare/Novell version is available for the following XoftWare
X servers: XoftWare for Windows, XoftWare for DOS, and XoftWare for
TIGA/DOS.

As part of the AGE/Novell agreement, AGE will provide XoftWare users a
single purchasing and support point for both the X server and Novell's
PC-to-UNlX connectivity software. By integrating Novell's TCP/IP into the
X server, AGE allows users to install both products in one easy step from
XoftWare's menu-driven screens. According to Craig A. Schmidt, vice
president of marketing for AGE, "This is more than just a bundling
arrangement - we have incorporated the Novell networking software into our
product so the user installs both products at the same time. We refer to
it as a single-button install. This makes the installation process much
easier and allows our customers to become productive more quickly. In
addition, we believe our customers will find the performance level of the
XoftWare/Novell combination to be among the fastest in the industry."

The new XoftWare TCP/IP offering includes Novell's Transmission Control
Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) files, the Open Datalink Interface
(ODI) driver set, and the Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) file for ODI.
As a result of integrating Novell's ODI drivers, AGE now supports Token
Ring and ARCnet as well as Ethernet. In addition to Novell's software,
XoftWare continues to support unbundled versions of other industry leading
networking software.

AGE offers the integrated X server/Novell TCP/IP for three PC environments:
PCs running Microsoft Windows, PCs running DOS, and PCs equipped with a
TIGA graphics accelerator card. XoftWare for Windows is AGE's enhanced X
server software that enables users to simultaneously run MS Windows and
network-based UNIX and DEC/VMS applications on the same PC. XoftWare for
Windows with Novell TCP/IP lists for $595 ($US); XoftWare for Windows
(without TCP/IP) is $495. XoftWare for DOS cost effectively adds X
terminal capabilities to 286, 386 and 486 DOS-based PCs plus provides a
hotkey to DOS and MS Windows. XoftWare for DOS with Novell TCP/IP lists
for $495 ($US) XoftWare for DOS (without TCP/IP) is $395. XoftWare for
TIGA/DOS turns 286, 386 and 486 DOS PCs with TIGA-based graphic
accelerators into high-performance, high-resolution X terminals. XoftWare
for TIGA/DOS with Novell TCP/IP lists for $595 ($US); XoftWare for
TIGA/DOS (without TCP/IP) is $495.

Multi-user pricing and site licenses are also available from AGE for all
products.
