DOME SHIPS ULTRA-HIGH RESOLUTION DISPLAY CARD FOR THE MACII

Waltham, MA - July 24, 1992 - DOME imaging systems, inc. is pleased to
announce that its MAX display board for Apple Macintosh II computers is
now shipping. With over three million pixels displayed, the MAX board is
currently the highest resolution display board for the Macintosh on the
market. Early shipments of this product have been to medical imaging OEMs
and are being used in workstations for radiology.

The MAX board is intended for applications that require a extremely high
quality image display at ultra-high resolutions. The MAX supports a
resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels and can display up to 256 shades of gray
simultaneously. It also includes a built-in hardware look-up table for
performing real-time windowing and leveling operations.

The MAX board utilizes the Texas Instruments 34020 Graphics System
Processor. The TI34020 is a fully programmable graphics processor and can
be used to perform complex image processing tasks such as fractional zooms
and convolutions. The MAX card also supports NuBus block-mode cycles,
permitting images to be transferred to the display at up to 12 megabytes
per second.

The board is fully compatible with the Macintosh's Quickdraw display
standard, so it supports all standard Macintosh software applications.
DOME also provides an extensive graphics and image processing library at
no extra cost with all of its imaging boards. This library includes a wide
variety of graphics primitives and image processing routines, as well as
sample source code and full documentation.

The MAX board and the DOME Software Library are available now through DOME
imaging systems.
