ResNova Software, Inc. of Huntington Beach, CA has announced its first
major new revision of NovaLink Professional, NovaTerm and associated
products. NovaLink Professional is a multi-user "Information Server" that
supports traditional VT-100 text-based interfaces as well as a complete
graphic user interface for Macintosh computers.  The graphic interface is
accessible through a modem with NovaTerm 2.1 and over an AppleTalk network
with NovaTerm AT 2.1. This new version includes several important
enhancements along with standard revisions.

Information servers allow companies or individuals to set up "bulletin
board" type services, including electronic mail, public file areas,
real-time teleconferencing and a range of other capabilities.

NovaLink Professional 2.1 extends the information server concept by
allowing multiple servers to be linked together through a new capability
known as NovaNet@. NovaNet is built into each information server and
allows the server administrator to identify a certain time or times for
their server to call its specified "Supervisor". Once connected to the
supervisor, NovaLink Professional will exchange appropriate private
electronic mail and public messages or files that have been sent to a
NovaNet@ address. Through use of one of the ResNova-maintained national or
international networks, messages and files will travel across the country
or world through built-in intelligent routing. Companies can also license
their own private NovaNet networks for bridging the gap between servers at
different locations.

Servers on AppleTalk networks maintain a constant link which makes it
possible to extend the limitations for incoming phone lines to a single
Mac by inter-connecting multiple computers. This method enables companies
to have multiple information servers for users or customers to access.

NovaNet is included in NovaLink Professional 2.1 at no additional cost for
a limited time as an introductory offer. Yearly connect rates for
ResNova-maintained networks are also discounted. ResNova Software will be
demonstrating this innovative capability at MacWorld Expo in August, at
booth #5542
