Irwindale, California. (July 21, 1992) -- Presenta Technologies Corporation
announced the release of their PC-Video VGA, model VN01 (List $599)
expansion card for the IBM/compatibles PC market. The board allows a
standard IBM/compatible to use any NTSC (normal t.v. video) device for
display or recording. Presenta will be marketing the PC-Video VGA board
towards applications in: multimedia, A/V presentation, and education. The
VN-01 has been designed to be a versatile multimedia tool by supporting
simultaneous output through: Super VGA (1 5-pin), Super-VHS (4-pin DIN),
NTSC/PAL composite (RCA jack), RGB analog (9-pin DB).

"There are a lot of prospective applications for this board, like business
presentations, video production, education/training (video supported
lectures), and post-production titling " said Todd Holley, Presenta's
Director of Product Promotions. Presenta's goal is to make high-cost
multimedia capability more accessible with a reasonably priced
VGA-to-Video board that delivers the quality of the more expensive scan
converters.

Some of the VN-01's features include: a proprietary firmware based flicker
reduction algorithm, flicker free and real time scan conversion, overscan
and underscan correction, and simultaneous non-interlaced VGA and
interlaced NTSC (standard video) display. Built around the Tseng Labs
ET-4000 SUPER VGA chip set, the PC-Video VGA card is fully IBM/VGA
compatible in all modes, while supporting resolutions of 1024x768 -16
colors, 800x600 - 256 colors, or 640x480 - 256 colors. Additionally, the
board comes bundled with drivers and utilities to configure most major
applications, including MS windows 3.0/3.1, Lotus 1-2-3, Gem/3 v3.1,
AutoCAD r9-11 v2.X, Word Perfect 4.X-5.1, Framework II and III, and
Ventura Publisher.
