20th August 1992 - Strategic Studies Group has released the IBM version of
Carriers at War, a superb simulation of the crucial WWII aircraft carrier
battles in the Pacific. Carriers at War combines a great game system with
VGA graphics, animated combat scenes, detailed sound sequences and vast
amounts of technical and historical information. The combination of all of
Carriers at War's outstanding elements puts this game into a class on its
own.

Fifty years ago, the infamous Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor plunged half
the world into war. Carriers at War is a re-enactment of six, crucial
carrier battles from that awesome conflict. They are, Pearl Harbor, Coral
Sea, Midway, Eastern Solomons, Santa Cruz and Philippine Sea, scene of the
Great Marianas Turkey Shoot.

Your task in Carriers at War is to seek out and destroy enemy carriers,
fleets and air forces... before they do the same to you!
