InTouch, Popular Free-form Contact Manager, Adds Time and List Management

Sunnyvale, California; September 3, 1992. InTouch 2.0 contact and time
management software for the Macintosh shipped today, announced Larry
Lightman, president of Advanced Software, Inc.

The updated version will better organize users with new features like
reminders, contact groups, group searches, sorts, list view, and broader
printing options.

InTouch is a Desk Accessory painstakingly designed to minimize keystrokes.
For example, all key program features are available just by clicking a
button or icon from the main window, making the program's use fast and
fluid. Free-form entry, easy note-taking in a resizeable note-field,
automatic dialing, and flexible envelope and label printing are among the
benefits that make InTouch popular.

The new version includes Snap, a unique utility which allows you to print
an envelope or a label from your word processor without ever having to
launch InTouch. Unlike any other Mac program, Snap can also find addresses
for you while you are typing a letter. You simply highlight the name in
your letter, press a hot-key, and in one step, Snap finds the correct
address in InTouch, pastes it into your letter, and even prints out an
envelope, if you wish.

InTouch reminders are a powerful addition to the program. Reminders can be
attached to InTouch records, so that when you are alerted to call John
Smith, just click "Go to record." This notifies InTouch to automatically
launch and display John Smith's record so you can dial his number and take
notes from the conversation.

InTouch 2.0 incorporates all standard reminder features, such as advance
notices, repeating reminders, and "snooze" upon alert. In addition, you
can use InTouch for simple calendaring, and to print a daily schedule with
appointment and meeting times blocked out.

InTouch 2.0 includes full-featured printing for envelopes, labels, address
books and fax cover sheets. You can create an unlimited number of layout
designs with an easy-to-use graphical interface. Layout elements include
adornments, bar codes and a choice of FIMs (Facing Identification Marks),
making business reply mail and all other post office-approved mailings
possible.

New record-grouping features in InTouch 2.0 allow you to categorize every
record in your database. You can create groups for sales follow-ups,
friends and relatives, vendors, Christmas card lists, etc. Group searches
allow you to create new groups based on the results of a search. And this
latest version of InTouch performs searches up to four times faster than
before!

InTouch 2.0 retails for $99.95 and network 3-packs retail for $249.95.
Upgrades to InTouch 2.0 are priced at $24.95 and network server upgrades
