Logos Research Systems. Inc. Announces Working Agreement with CDWordSoftware, Inc. DALLAS, TX - Logos Research Systems, Inc. CDWordSoftware, Inc., and Dallas Theological Seminary have announced a working agreement whereby Logos Research Systems will upgrade the highly acclaimed Bible study software program CD WordLibrary for compatibility with Microsoft Windows 3.1. Logos and CDWordSoftware will upgrade CD WordLibrary to work with all future versions of Windows, and will also enhance the product by adding more Bible texts and reference works, such as the morphological Hebrew text developed by Westminster Theological Seminary. The combined efforts of Logos Research Systems and CDWordSoftware will provide an on-going development team to create a single Windows 3.1 interface for many different Bible study programs. "We see Logos Bible Study Software and CD WordLibrary as a single program with an accompanying upgrade path," said Dale Pritchett, vice president of sales and marketing for Logos. "The user of a Logos program will be able to move right into the CD WordLIbrary program on a single learning curve because the program will be the same. All that will change is that there will be more text available to study," Pritchett said. Mr. Jim Bolton, president af CDWordSoftware, in announcing the agreement, said that Logos Bible Study Software for Microsoft Windows represents a new standard for a whole new generation of high-performance Bible study tools, designed to take full advantage of the Microsoft Windows graphical user interface. "We believe the Logos Software system will become a standard in the Bible software field and we are pleased and excited to make this announcement," Bolton said. This strategy reflects the common vision shared by Logos, CDWordSoftware, and Dallas Theological Seminary of a family of Bible study applications, fulfilling the needs of all Bible students from the novice to the most advanced scholar. CD WordLibrary and Logos Bible Study Software, both designed with the same objective and goal of being state of-the-art computer Bible study tools, have been critically acclaimed in the Bible software market. "The combination of the two systems will produce a great interactive Bible study system in a category by itself," Bolton explained. Dallas Theological Seminary supports the Windows 3.1 upgrade. "Using the Logos system puts us on the way to making CD WordLibrary the program we envisioned several years ago," said Dr. Darrell Bock, professor of New Testament at the Seminary.
