Bitstream Announces New Version of MakeUp for Windows

September 22, 1992 -- Bitstream Inc. today announced that it has begun
shipping version 1.1 of Bitstream MakeUp for Windows. MakeUp is
Bitstream's popular text manipulation program for use in Microsoft Windows
3.0/3.1. Version 1.1 is a free upgrade for all registered users of MakeUp
1.0. The upgrade corrects a variety of problems and also includes 20 free
TrueType typefaces.

Bitstream is currently mailing MakeUp 1.1 upgrade packages to all
registered users of MakeUp 1.0. Users that have not mailed in registration
cards are urged to do so in order to receive the upgrade. Upgrades are not
available through any other channel.

Copies of MakeUp 1.0 in the retail channel have been specially labeled with
instructions to the user to send the registration card to Bitstream in
order to receive the free update and the 20 extra TrueType fonts. All
MakeUp shipments from Bitstream from this point on will be version 1.1.

MakeUp 1.1 improvements and additions: Improved import and export filters
Improved Object Linking & Embedding (OLE) support More precise handling of
TrueType fonts New grey-scale palette for HP LaserJet, HP DeskJet and
other non-color laser, inkjet and dot matrix printers Improved
functionality within the Windows 3.1 environment 20 extra TrueType
typefaces (the same typefaces that are in Bitstream TrueType Font Pack 2
for Windows 3.1) Supplemental documentation to support these new
enhancements and additions.
