PennComp Announces Quotemaster Plus for Windows 2.0, and Four New
Quotepacks

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- August 24, 1992 -- PennComp today announced Quotemaster
Plus Version 2.0 for Windows and four new Quotebases. Quotemaster Plus for
Windows Version 2.0 -- is the literary quotation retrieval software
package for writers, speakers, executives, and full-time daydreamers. This
latest Windows version of the award winning Quotemaster Plus provides the
user with significant new features and enhancements.

Quotemaster Plus for Windows Version 2.0 features the familiar functions of
Quotemaster Plus, including: searching by author, subject, and the ability
to add personal and favorite quotations.

New Quotemaster Plus 2.0 features include an all new interactive screen
interface with the Windows "look and feel. " Power button bars and icons
now direct the user through quotation search steps, making the process
effortless. A totally redesigned search engine enables the program to act

NEW QUOTEMASTER PLUS 2.0 FOR WINDOWS FEATURES

* Text String Searching: A new feature of Quotemaster Plus for Windows not
available in any other literary quotation retrieval software. If you can
not remember the whole quotation, but remember specific words, just type
them in the word list box. The resulting search finds every quotation
containing that word or phrase.

* Improved Topic and Word Search: The Quotemaster Search Engine is designed
specifically for the Windows environment. The average time to search on a
subject is now .05 seconds, providing up to 20 quotations a second. This
means the time searching for quotation combinations has dramatically
decreased.

* Hierarchical Search: If the right word escapes you, try the Quotemaster
for Windows Hierarchical Search. The Hierarchical Search will focus a
broad area of interest into specific words and subjects that will provide
bountiful quotations on your subject. For instance, the broad subject of
"Human Nature" yields the secondary subject of "Competition." This, in
turn, provides the word "Originality," of which a dozen quotes originate.

* Multiple Search "Memory": An intense search can last a while. This
utility remembers the combinations that revealed certain quotations. No
longer will that perfect quotation remain lost because you can't remember
the right search combination.

* Favorite Quote Library: This function stores twelve of your favorite
quotations for instant retrieval, bypassing the search process entirely.
This function is best for those who find themselves referring to the same

* Quotation Counting: This new function answers the question, "Just how
many quotations are there on the subject of Love?" The answer is about 234
in the full package. The Quote List will display the entire list or view
each quotation with one click of the button.
