PROXIMA WINS BIZMART'S VENDOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

SAN DIEGO, CA -- AUGUST 17, 1992 -- The Power Products Division of Proxima
Corporation has been honored with BizMart's "Vendor of the Year" award at
BizMart's first annual awards ceremony held on July 16, 1992 in Dallas,
Texas.

BizMart, one of the nation's largest office products retailers handed out
awards in five product categories: office supplies, office furniture,
office electronics, computer accessories and computers. Proxima met
BizMart's Vendor of the Year criteria under the computer accessories
category.

During the ceremony, Ron Mitchum, vice president merchandising for BizMart
said, "We have selected vendors who have gone the extra mile and given the
extra effort that sets them apart. In making the selections we considered
cooperation, lead time, on-time shipments, payment terms, freight terms,
new store terms, invoicing accuracy, complete shipments, and aid in new
store sales. Proactivity and creativity are extremely important in the
world of retail sales and overall promotional support. All of our vendors
were evaluated on these criteria and the winners achieved the highest
score."

Proxima's Vice President, John R. Thomas said, "Its nice to get recognition
from one of our larger customers. We are one of five recipients out of 250
vendors which puts us in the top two percent. We're committed to giving
