ScanShop Introduces Silver Platter CD-ROM Image Collection

September 4, 1992 -- BOAZ, Alabama -- ScanShop will introduce Silver
Platter, a collection of high-resolution, 24-bit color raster tiff files
and models on a CD. Architects, engineers, and animators will be able to
immediately access over 800 files to enhance their rendered presentations.
The designer chooses cells from a well-organized and documented selection
of skies, furniture, plants, textures, surfaces, figures, materials, and
models.

Operator is relieved of the time-consuming process of scanning and cleaning
up back-ground and foreground imagery.

Silver Platter also contains bump maps and reflection maps. Several
environment boxes (backgrounds which entirely surround a 3D model) are
included for use in animation. The CD also offers foreground overlays,
which contribute depth to renderings.

Users of Intergraph's ModelView will be able to customize these raster
files in

PIXIE. Any CAD users able to use tiff files will be able to use Silver
Platter. The CD is available in a single UNIX and DOS version, or
Macintosh version.
