What is Soft Ventures TimeClock? 

SVTimeClock is a tool for tracking your chargeable time while working in
Microsoft Windows. It was designed to be quick and easy to use. It tracks:

    Start Time - the clock time when you started a task or job.
   Elapse Time - the elapsed lime since the start of a job.
   Charge Time - time since the start time less the 'paused' time
 Billable $$$$ - chargeable time x hourly charge out rate

Who will use SVTimeClock? 

Consultants, desktop publishers, anyone who charges for, or needs to track,
the time they spend working at the computer. Even if you are not working
with your computer, if you have a computer on your desk it, can be used to
keep track of time you spend on non-computer tasks.

Why SVTimeClock? 

Ease of use. Just select a client/job combination and it will start logging
your time. 'Pause' it whenever you wish, 'Save' the data when you are
done. When you are ready to invoice your client, call up the summary or
detail report for the client/job.

The Details... 

TCPRO.EXE is the main program of the Soft Ventures TimeClock system.
Client, Job and [optionally] Work information is stored in dBASE
compatible files. You select a Client/Job combination via the Setup
window. At any time you can Print a Job Ticket for the session or Save the
current information to the Work file. To keep the TimeClock module small
and efficient, file maintenance and reporting are done outside of the
TimeClock program by 2 other windows programs, TCFILES.EXE and
TCREPORT.EXE.

The display on screen consists of a small, two line, window. The
information shown in the first line is the Client code and Job code
separated by a vertical bar. This information can be changed via the SETUP
option of the window's SYSTEM MENU. The second line of the display shows
either start time, elapse time, paused time or time of day.

Reporting is handled through the TCREPORT module. You select a client to
report on, then select: one/all jobs, summary/detail, include client
info/not and specify where the report is to go - screen/file/printer. You
can also produce master client and job lists from this module.

File maintenance is done by the TCFILES module. With TCFILES you can
ADD/CHANGE/DELETE records in the client, job and work databases. This
module is used to maintain and/or set up new clients and new jobs.
