Travel Points of Interest Software

September 4, 1992 -- SAN DIEGO---FACTS ONLINE is shipping the Travel Points
of Interest software.  With this software, users can select from over
2,000 points of interest in the United States.

Users select from seventeen different types of places, including:  
amusement parks, aquariums, art museums, astronomy, automobiles,  aviation
museums, botanical gardens, caves, history, maritime  museums, parks,
railroads, science exhibits, wildlife refuges and  zoos.  Two broad
categories, museums and nature, provide wide  searches.  Each place has up
to three different subject codes and  comes with address, days and times
open, telephones and descriptions.  

The software operates on most DOS personal computers with a hard  disk. 
Users can view the descriptions on their screen or make a  printout.

Travel Points of Interest comes in two forms: "try-before-you- buy"
shareware and the registered users' version.  The shareware  version is
available from many shareware vendors and contains the  maximum that will
fit on a 360K diskette: 1,000 points of interest. After trying the
shareware for 30 days, registration is $45  (U.S.) or $55 (foreign) from
Facts Online.  Registered users get  over 2,000 points of interest, plus a
printed manual.
