infiniType Plus Test Drive Release Notes

Installing the Test Drive:

1. Insert Disk 1 in drive A (or drive B)

2. Type A: (or B:) and press Enter

3. Type install and press Enter. The infiniType Plus Test Drive Installation
   screen appears.

4. Select the application you will be using with infiniType Plus. (If you are
   using LetterPerfect, choose WordPerfect Works.)

5. Type the name of the directory where the application you selected in step 4
   is located and press Enter.

6. Type the name of the directory where the infiniType Plus files should be
   located (the default is C:\ITDEMO) and press Enter.

7. When asked if you would like to speed up printing, type Y. (Selecting N
   will enable background printing in WordPerfect apps, but will dramatically
   slow printing.)

8. Select your printer from the list. If you are given a choice between a
   DOWNLOAD printer driver, and a standard printer driver, select DOWNLOAD.
   This will speed printing.

9. Type a name for the new printer driver (or take the default name suggested
   by infiniType). If you are using a laser priner, you will also be asked to
   enter the amount of memory installed in your printer.

When all files have been copied to your hard disk, the message "Installation
Finished" appears. Press any key to return to the DOS prompt.



Using the Test Drive

1. Change to the directory where your application is located, for example,
   CD\WP51.

2. Type ITDEMO and press Enter.

3. Once your application is running, select the new infiniType printer driver
   from your printer setup.

*** Note to WordPerfect, LetterPerfect and WordPerfect Works users ***
    You must use the "Select Printer", "Additional Printers" setup from your
    Print menu (Shift F7) to allow WordPerfect applications to use the
    infiniType printer drivers.

4. Use your application to create and print documents as you normally do.



infiniType Typefaces

The Test Drive includes 11 of the 124 typefaces included in infiniType Plus.
These faces are:
  
  Roman                Chantilly Heavy
  Roman Italic         Comix
  Roman Bold           Courier
  Roman Bold Italic    Honeymoon
  Ondine               Peynot

(There is also a typeface called "Special Effects." You cannot print this face,
as it is used only for infiniType special effects. To use the special effects,
see below.) These faces are fully scalable, however, unlike the typefaces in-
cluded with infiniType Plus, they cannot be used outside of the Test Drive.


Special Effects

The Test Drive also includes 1 of the 80 special effects in infiniType Plus.
To print a the special effect, highlight the text you would like the effect
applied to, and format it as Strikethrough. The text will then print with a 20%
gray fill and medium outline.
