RUNNING PCLUS 2.0 IN WINDOWS


PROCOMM PLUS HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO RUN SMOOTHLY AND EFFICIENTLY UNDER WINDOWS
 with enough memory you can transfer files in the background while continuing
 to work with your word processer or other windows programs.
 Windows requires a program information file ( a file with the extension.PIF)
 For each program that is run in one of it's windows.
 Windows 3.0 automatically creates the information file used by Procom plus
 (with the windows set up program)  this should be sufficient for most users
      386 ENHANCE MODE
 If you're running windows in the 386 enhance mode you can make Procom plus
 run in the background by setting the background box in the Procom plus PIF
 file.  This will prevent your session from being dropped if you run other
 applications in the foreground!!!! Additionally, this setting allows you
 to upload or down load files in the background.

     NOTE;
 Depending on the speed of your machine, it amy be necessary to increase the
 background priority in the PIF file for proper background operation.
 For best results, run Procom Plus in a window.  Procom Plus can only be run
 in the 386 Enhance mode of Windows 3.0.  If you're running in real mode or
 standard mode, the program will only run in full screen.
