UPDATES/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ---------------------------------- This disk contains both a Display List Driver (DLD) and a Standard Driver (SD) for AutoCAD Release 10. The files INSTALV7.EXE and DSVGA.EXE are for the DLD. To install the DLD first run INSTALV7. This sets up the resolution and type of memory in your computer, the DLD will use either Expanded or Extended or both. It will create a batch file which should be run any time you turn on your computer (or do a warm boot) and wish to use the DLD with AutoCAD. Always use INSTALV7 to install or reconfigure the DLD. Advanced users may wish to examine command line switched by typing DSVGA -?. The files V7INST.EXE and V7REL10.COM are for the SD. Run V7INST to select the resolution and screen colors you wish to use. Then run V7REL10 to install the driver. You must run V7REL10 any time you turn on your computer (or do a warm boot) and wish to use the SD with AutoCAD. Both drivers should not be installed, or resident in memory, at the same time. They are independent drivers for AutoCAD. The DLD should only be used if your system has at least 1M Byte of Extended or Expanded memory available for the DLD. The DLD works exclusively with Release 10 of AutoCAD, while the SD works with both Release 9 and 10. The DLD is intended for use by experienced AutoCAD users to improve AutoCAD's performance in REDRAWS, ZOOM-INS, and PANS.
