Installation Instructions for VersaCAD Device Drivers _____________________________________________________________________________ VCAD1024.EXE --- VersaCAD v5.3 and v5.4 1024 x 768 by 16 color driver (Requires 512K display RAM) VCAD800 .EXE --- VersaCAD v5.3 and v5.4 800 x 600 by 16 color driver VersaCAD v5.3 and v5.4 720 x 540 by 16 color driver VersaCAD v5.3 and v5.4 640 x 480 by 16 color driver (Driver supports all the above resolutions depends on what VersaCAD display screen mode you select) VCAD53.CFG --- Video Seven configuration file for VersaCAD Ver. 5.3 VCAD54.CFG --- Video Seven configuration file for VersaCAD Ver. 5.4 Use the following steps to install the Video Seven driver onto your existing VersaCAD system. The installation steps assumes VersaCAD v5.3. Replace 'VCAD53' with 'VCAD54' if you are running VersaCAD v5.4. Steps 1) & 2) will copy the driver and configuration files into the VersaCAD subdirectory. 1) Put the Video Seven CAD Driver Disk in drive A. Copy the desired resolution VersaCAD driver file (for example 800x600) into the VersaCAD subdirectory (for example C:\VCAD53): > COPY A:VCAD800.EXE C:\VCAD53 [ENTER] 2) Depending on what version (v5.3 or v5.4) of VersaCAD software you are using, choose the right configuration file (for example VCAD53.CFG) and copy it into the VersaCAD subdirectory: > COPY A:VCAD53.CFG C:\VCAD53 [ENTER] Steps 3) to 5) modifies the existing VersaCAD batch file and selects the desired display driver. 3) Use an editor to modify the VersaCAD batch file (VCAD53.BAT, you should find it in the root directory). Usually, the display driver file name will be at the second line. Modify it to the desired Video Seven display driver (either VCAD1024.EXE or VCAD800.EXE). >EDLIN VCAD53.BAT [ENTER] CD \VCAD53 VCAD800 VRUN 4) Go into VersaCAD environmemt by typing: >CD \ [ENTER] >VCAD53 [ENTER] 5) Select [E] to change Screen Configuration. Switch the display driver to the desired Video Seven resolution driver. Select resolution from 640x480 to 800x600 if VCAD800 was selected in step 1 & 3 above or resolution 1024x768 for VCAD1024.
