Installation Instructions for Microsoft Word 5.0/5.5

Rename the SCREEN.VID file in your Microsoft Word subdirectory to SCREEN.OLD.

Copy the files SCREEN.VID and VIDSETUP.EXE to your Word subdirectory.

Run the Video Seven driver setup utility by typing VIDSETUP <Enter>

Select which resolutions you wish to have available.  Use the up and
down arrow keys to move the cursor.  Select or deselect a resolution by
using the [Ins] and [Del] keys.  Keep in mind that your monitor must be 
capable of displaying the resolutions you select.

Microsoft Word automatically uses the highest resolution selected to 
display it's Print Preview mode.

Start Word.  Use the OPTIONS command to change the display resolution.

Some versions of mouse drivers may not function properly in extended text 
or graphics modes causing the mouse pointer to disappear or not work beyond 
the standard 80 columns.  If you are using a mouse with Word and experience 
difficulties, contact the manufacturer of your mouse for an updated version 
(if available) of their driver.
