SIKES COMMENDS INTERNATIONAL TELEPHONE RATES AGREEMENT Chairman Alfred C. Sikes welcomed the announcement by the International Telephone and Telephone Consultative Committee (CCITT) that 46 countries have unanimously taken steps to reduce international telephone rates. The multinational organization adopted a formal ballot procedure for a new CCITT Recommendation to reduce international telephone accounting rates over a one to five year period. COMMISSION AMENDS PART 22 OF THE RULES TO PROVIDE FOR FILING AND PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS FOR UNSERVED AREAS IN THE CELLULAR SERVICE - CC DOCKET 90-6 - (Report DC-2165, Action in Docket Case) The Commission has postponed the filing deadline for updated system information for cellular radio systems, which had been scheduled for July 16, 1992.
