Thank you for obtaining the Money Marvel Personal Finance Manager.  The Money 
Marvel is a shareware product.  This means that it may be copied and shared 
with your friends, placed on bulletin boards, or otherwise distributed in its 
original form.  You may use the software freely for thirty days.  If you find 
the Money Marvel useful to you and would like to coninue using it, we ask that 
you send a registration fee of ten (10) dollars, along with your name and

	*  A printed manual, outlining the many features of the Money Marvel 
	   and how you can get the most benefit from it.

	*  Information on Money Marvel enhancements, as well as other software 
	   products available from Soft Touch Software.

	*  A coupon good for thirty percent off of the retail price of the new
	   Checkpoint Personal Finance System from Soft Touch Software.
	   Checkpoint is a full-featured, advanced version of the Money Marvel.
	   It is a budget-based system which allows you to design and maintain
	   a personal or family budget with incredible ease.  Checkpoint will
	   even assist you in designing your budget, based on previous
	   expenditures.  You can even design and generate hundreds of reports
	   and graphics of your budgeting and accounts.

	   Checkpoint is scheduled for release in late fall, 1992.


The Money Marvel will install itself the first time you run the program by 
typing MM.  Be  sure that the Money Marvel source files are on the default 
drive (refer to your DOS manual if you need help).  The Money Marvel will ask 
you to create your first account.  You may then create additional accounts,
delete accounts, or end installation.  To create additional accounts after 
your first installation, type INSTALL.

The next time you run the Money Marvel (by typing MM), you will be able to 
enter transactions, perform searches, reconcile with your account statements,
view reports, and perform all of the other actions available.



Version 1.15 and earlier versions of the Money Marvel required the ANSI.SYS 
driver be present in the CONFIG.SYS file for the installation program.
Version 1.20 does not have this requirement.

The Money Marvel has one unusual feature.  Account entries are made like ink in
a journal.  This means that you cannot erase or alter an entry once it has been
made.  You may, however, make an additional entry which notes and corrects a
mistake.  While this does tend to make your accounts appear less concise,
you may find it valuable if you are audited.  Computer records are not usually
admissible as official records in an audit.  This feature MAY allow your
Money Marvel records to be used in such a case.
