18PLUS News through October 1992

Due to increased responsibilities involving another network and business
time demand considerations, Tom Hughes has taken over the day to day 
administration of 18PLUS.  Gordon Lincoln is now the Network Coordinator.
What does this mean?

It means I'm typing at you here, handling things such as publicity, 
recruitment, general network direction and policies.  Tom Hughes is
directing the day to day issues.

Greg Watson will be taking over the nodelist maintenance.

Anyone who is currently carrying 18PLUS, who hasn't sent in their 
written application, note... this is the LAST warning, all applications
must be received or your access will be terminated as of NOV 15th.  This
is the second extension for charter members, and the last one.

We'd like to welcome our rather prestigious new members, The Pleasure Dome
sysop Tom McElvy, and PC-Ohio sysop Norm Henke.  

And... yes *they* have their apps turned in... given how busy both of 
these gentlemen are, there really isn't any excuse, right? <grin>
As announced in the network earlier, no new systems will be accepted without
a written application being received by the Network Coordinator, no one.

On a happy note... Blondies and Gay conferences are doing quite well, with
steady traffic.  Given the newness (only in our 3rd month of existence) of
this network, we are doing very well.  It seems certain that we will have
over 50 nodes before the end of the year.  The concept and need for an adult 
net that expects 'adult' to indicate emotionally mature as well as 
chronologically of 'age', is being validated.  In fact, given the amount of 
interest being shown, we may have a tiger by the tail!!! :)
