Remote to Remote Communications Test

This test is frequently used to determine the cause of communication problems.
Typically, this is the first test that is conducted to determine the actual
origin of connection difficulties.  This test places both PCs in terminal mode,
thus limiting pcANYWHERE's involvement.  It helps to determine if the problem
is related to pcANYWHERE or some other hardware/software conflict.  The setup
procedure is as follows:

1.	Run AWREMOTE on both PCs.

2.	Select Terminal/Direct Connect for version 4.0 or Quick Connect for
	version 4.5 and configure the following:

	Device/Port:	(the correct com port)
	Terminal emulation:	pcANYWHERE IV
	Data rate:	(maximum allowed by your modem)
	Parity:	None
	Flow control:	RTS/CTS 

3.	Once the above is complete, press the ESC key and respond with YES to
	Begin Terminal Mode.

4.	You will now be at a blank screen with a status bar at the bottom of
	the screen.

5.	On the PC receiving the call, type the following:

	ATZ  <Enter>
	AT&F&W  <Enter>
	ATS0=1  <Enter>

(It's okay if you don't see what you're typing.  Each command should return
OK or 0.  This PC is now in "Wait Mode" waiting for a call.)

6.	On the PC initiating the call, type the following:

	ATZ  <Enter>
	AT&F&W  <Enter>
	ATDT phone_number  <Enter>

(Each command should return OK or 0.  The modem should begin dialing the
other PC.)

On both ends, a CONNECT message should appear.  Note this message.

After the CONNECT message, begin to type.  Whatever is typed on one side of
the connection will only appear on the other screen.   This is normal. If
you see garbage instead of readable text, the phone line may be noisy, the
modem cable or phone cable may have a short or the modem may not be
functioning properly.  If the PCs never get the CONNECT message, then some
other problem is preventing the PC's from communicating properly.  

If you connect properly and can see what is typed from the other side of the
connection, then the problem resides in pcANYWHERE and its ability to
properly communicate with the modem, or a conflict with another memory
