FULL MOTION COMPRESSION FROM NEW MEDIA GRAPHICS Super Motion Compression Card, a real time, full motion video and stereo audio compression and decompression card for ISA based PCs. The card uses the JPEG algorithm to store video motion clips and audio to a hard disk, and plays the compressed clips back from the same disk or a CD-ROM. The card can store video clips at an average disk storage rate of 10MB per minute of source material, according to the manual. The JPEG chip set allows compression and decompression of video at 30 frames per second. The Super Motion Compression card supports Microsofts DV-MCI development environment. Also from the company is the Super Encoder board, which converts VGA output from a PC to broatcast quality video for VDRs and TVs.
