CCC Information File

  CCC is a menu-driven Shareware utility. CCC is an abbreviation for "Credit
Card Crunch."   CCC will show how much you are being ripped off by the banks
via exorbitant interest rates and low minimum payments.  CCC will provide
the term and the total amount required to payoff a given balance, at a given
interest rate, and with a given monthly payment (all user selectable).  The
user can experiment with different strategies to payoff the credit card debt.
Each time the program does a calculation some suggestions are offered to
reduce your interest costs.  Some other general credit card information is
included in the "about program" screens.  Note: interest calculation methods
vary by card; CCC converts the annual rate to a monthly rate, applies a month's
interest to the initial balance before applying the scheduled payment.

  CCC and its documentation are copyrighted Shareware.  Rights to the program
are retained by the author even though, as Shareware, the user may freely copy
and distribute the program (subject to the restrictions given below).  Each
recipient of the program is subject to Licensing conditions given in this
document.

Registration

  CCC may be used and evaluated for a reasonable period of time.  Use of the
program beyond the evaluation period requires a registration with the author
at the address given below.  The registration fee consists a nominal $10
shareware use fee.  Registration entitles the user to any current upgrade and
a free conscience.  If you desire an upgrade send an additional $1 to cover
diskette, mailing, and handling costs.  Suggestions and comments are welcome.

  The registration fee for CCC is $10.

Distribution

  You may freely distribute the program subject to the following: (1) no
modifications are made to the program or its documentation; and (2) that the
program and its documentation are distributed together.  However, you are
specifically not allowed to sell this software in any form, original or
modified, for profit. And may the bird of paradise fly up your nose if you do.

Warranties

  There are no warranties applicable to this product.  Although the program
has been thoroughly tested, the responsibility for the use of the program
lies with the Shareware user (registered or non-registered), not with the
author.  

License

  Only the registered user is licensed to use the CCC program beyond a
reasonable evaluation period.

Installation and Use

  CCC is self-documenting with user friendly menus, prompts and help screens.
CCC is contained in one EXE file: CCC.EXE.  The external documentation (this
page) is found in the file CCC.TXT.  To use the program simply copy the two
CCC files into any directory that is active in your DOS Path.  Typically you
might place the file in the C:\DOS, or C:\UTIL subdirectories.
