The address for the National Military Personnel Records Center is

They have the records of officers seperated after 7/1/17 and
enlisted seperated after 11/1/12.

I will warn you however that
in July of 1973 the records center had a fire and (regretably)
some of the records were lost in the fire. Just
include as much information as you have on the individual and include
your relationship to them, you can drop the great's and grand's they
just want to be able to tell if you were related -- at least that is
what the gal told me the last time I was there it's only a 30 minute
drive for me.
