Overseas Birth Certificate by Otis Mc Cain ------------------------------------------------ The following is taken from `AFTERBURNER' USAF News for Retired Personnel VOL. 32 NO.1 AFRP 30-16 January 1990 page 8 {JETWASH} Overseas Birth Certificates: To obtain a birth certificatefor a child born in an overseas military medical facility, provide ID data includ- ing full name of child, date and place of birth, full name of both parents, maiden name of mother, all available information about the child's passport, relationship of requester to child and reason for request. Include money order for $4 payable to U.S. State Dept. (no personal checks accepted) and mail to U.S. Department of State, Pass- port Service Correspondence Branch, Washington, D.C. 20524. Hope this is of use to the person who in recent messages was asking for help in getting a birth certificate for a child born near Tokyo, Japan and any others who may need this service.
