    What is WinQWK ? WinQWK is a program used by a bulletin board caller when
they wish to read mail downloaded using a QWK standard. WinQWK is designed to
run with Windows V3.x, allowing fast and easy access to the message areas by
using a standard button bar.
    If you're a regular BBS caller and enjoy the wealth of information that
there message bases have to offer than this program is for you. I don't know
how I could possibly read the Windows Message conference without this great
utility. Each day I call my favorite local BBS, download the new mail, and read
it at my leisure at home. For boards that charge by the hour, this application
will save you a fortune the first time you use it.
    Probably the best feature WinQWK has to offer is its ability to reply to
the messages you've downloaded. Simply push one of the buttons on the nicely
designed button bar and you can enter your own mail at home. Whenever you call
your favorite BBS back, simply upload the mail (another 1 touch procedure) to
the board. 
    The author's support of WinQWK is worth noting as well. He can be reached 
via several mediums and supports his program to the fullest. A steep 
registration fee ($30.00) is the only drawback we could find at this time. 
Further upgrades include a spell-checker for your own messages and a higher
maximum message limit, currently WinQWK can handle 600 messages in 3200 various
areas.
