                        GUTS! v1.14 By: PhƒSˆ Thrˆˆ

Guts! was released into public domain. It is freely distributable as long
as a few general guidelines are followed:

o The archive is to contain ALL files that were included in the original
archive. Including this DOC file. =)

o It is not SOLD for any profit.

  o Authorship REMAINS INTACT!   >=)

Other than that, use at will! I am in NO way responseable for any damage
that may occur to your system as a result of using the files contained
  within this archive!

If you use Guts!, and like it, you could always send me a few bucks for
a beer, or something. =) A donation of $3.00 or $4.00 (US!) does not
seem too unreasonable to me. =)

  Mail any 'beer' money to:

                   Release History and General Information

Guts is an OLD C-Net P-file from the C-Net 64 v11.1a days. It was a local
favorite, and a few local Sysop's asked me to try to convert it to the Amiga
platform. It is a Arexx P-file, and is currently configured for versions
2.59 or higher. (It WILL run under lower versions, only the MCI commands
need converted to the OLD style /Cx and so fourth.

 Feb/16/1993 - First Release Made.

Feb/20/1993 - Version 1.01. General Cleaning out of code, fixed reported
                bugs.

Feb/21/1993 - Version 1.02. Typing error caused Arexx to fail. Fixed.

Feb/22/1993 - Version 1.05. Save Player routine reported to have a bug.
Modified player score/compare code slightly. SHOULD be 100%!

Mar/05/1993 - Version 1.10. Local Sysops reporting another bug in the
player high score routine. Modified code SLIGHTLY to accomadate.

Nov/30/1993 - After a LONG break from CNet Amiga, I am once again playing
around with Cnet. I was playing Guts! on a local system that I
am a Co-Sysop on, and decided that the code needed a few
'enhancements'. So, Here's What's New to this Version:

o Added a little more color to some of the prompts.
o Added the POINT SPREAD to the players 'Continue?' Prompt.
(You now know how far above, or BEHIND the score of the
computer opponent! MUCH better game play, in my opinion!) =)
                o Added the VERSION string.

                Changes Planned in future releases:

o I'd like to incorperate multi-port 'head to head play' giving
you a HUMAN opponent to play against!

                                       ž 11/30/93

This was my first attempt at writing a p-file for the Amiga version of C-Net,
but I have written many for the 64/128 versions of C-Net over the years, thus
I DID 'borrow' code from a few other P-File writers, and if you list out the
main file: Guts! the credits are listed.

Any problems, suggestions, questions, etc, should be directed to me via
EMAIL on Future World. I DON'T READ the message bases, so MAIL is BEST!
Updates will be made available through Future World, or on the following
system: (Faster way to get updates! I don't call Future World that often.)

 Maximum Overload - Port 1: (412)/664-7680 9600-14.4k v.32bis
                    Port 2: (412)/664-1355 2400 v.42bis

(Make sure you leave the Sysop, Bill M, feedback when calling as a NEW USER
that you are calling for my Pfiles, so that you get proper access!)

 SETUP:

Un-LHA the archive, copy Guts! to your Pfiles, then MAKE DIR in your pfiles
called 'Guts', and copy 'GutsTop5' and 'GutsDocs' into it.

(This is ONLY IF the directories were not already created when you un-Lha'd
the file. IF they were created when you un-Lha'd the archive, all you need
to do is to COPY the file GUTS! and the Directory GUTS into your Pfiles.)

THAT'S it! Run a 'AO' in the pfiles to adopt 'Guts!' into that directory
and it is a AREXX file...

  Real EASY!

***** Also, you might want to turn the MORE? function OFF.. *****
***** It is a PAIN IN THE ASS with this Pfile. *****
