HUNTER'S CROSSING COUNTRY CLUB DESIGNER: Gordon J. Chisholm This is a fictional course set near the Rockie Mountains in the West Central U.S.. The basic hole layout was borrowed from Accolade's Oakmont, but beyond that all similarity to Oakmont ends. THIS IS NOT MY INTERPRETATION OF ACCOLADE'S OAKMONT. some holes were reversed; some were either shortened or lengthened; all holes were flattened and all hills were re-drawn. Water was added on some holes (and there is no water on any of Oakmont's holes), bunkers were re-shaped and in some cases eliminated. In some cases a bunker or group of bunkers became ponds or lakes. Tee blocks were moved, fairways were re-drawn, and other changes made. A complete new object file was added, using trees from a number of various courses. Where they were close enough, adjacent holes are shown. All water hazards and all bunkers on this course are set at elevations lower than the surrounding terrain, and hole #18 features a lake in a sinkhole, or my interpretation of a sinkhole. Although all fairways were laid out to follow center lines as closely as possible. It is best to check the overhead view before making your approach. Most fairways are fairly open but do contain some hazards not visible from the golfer's point of view; hence another reason to check the overhead view now and then. I tried to vary hole conditions as much as possible and make this a thinking man's course, where you have to really plan all your shots at the start of each hole. I hope I succeeded in this aspect of the course. Any comments are welcome. Gordon J. Chisholm Prodigy - FHDM42A America Online - GJC1 Copyright: Gordon J.
